Light Engravers Cement is a highly adaptable pitch used in a variety of pitch blocking applications.  Light Engravers Cement is specially designed to yield high strength, with ease of use on lenses or precision applications.  

Application

Depending on application, Light Engravers Cement can be applied in two basic methods:
Pre-melt Light Engravers Cement in a controlled heating vessel, and apply or pour molten pitch to blocking plate or lap, and then mount the workpiece.
Pre-heat the blocking plate or lap and work piece, and wipe the pitch across the heated tool and mount the workpiece.
Light Engravers Cement can be removed from the parts by using Uniclear. For best results, please consult with UPI technical staff to recommend optimal processing conditions.
