#9 Centering Wax

Centering Waxes are semi-hard temporary waxes used for a variety of blocking & holding applications. Centering Waxes are used for blocking lenses or work pieces that are to be edged, profiled or centered.

Application

Heat the blocking plate, or lap, & the work piece. Apply heated wax by wiping across the heated blocking tool, or the wax can be poured. Centering Wax can be removed from the parts by using UPI’s Uniclear or Uniclear II. For best results, please consult with UPI technical staff to recommend optimal processing conditions.
