HASTILITE 919 a zirconium and cerium oxide blend, consists of advanced chemical compounding that has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of most advanced optics. It finds its best applications in finishing the harder glasses such as BK-7 and Fused Silica, but it can be used on most other glass materials as well. HASTILITE 919 will yield very low surface roughness readings under one angstrom in these applications.

Application

Dilute HASTILITE 919 with water to create slurry. Preferred, but not required, water type is DI or RO water. Concentration can vary per operation. For best results, please consult with UPI technical staff to recommend optimal processing conditions.

Benefits
  • Low surface roughness
  • High removal rate on a variety of hard and sensitive glasses
