Super Smooth Surfactant

Super Smooth Surfactant, S3, is a safe, effective, low foaming, and environmentally friendly cleaner for glassware. Additionally, S3 can be used as a polishing slurry surfactant to lower surface roughness. S3 facilitates enhanced dispersion of particles when added to any slurry. This added dispersion will cause decreased particle agglomeration and increased wetting in slurries. S3 also helps to prevent glass swarf (kerf) from redepositing on the part surface, resulting in a better surface quality.

Application

Submerged Polishing – Add 10-25 mL of S3 (per gallon mixed slurry) to diluted slurry formula.

Recirculating Slurry – Add 25 -50 mL of S3 (per gallon mixed slurry) within diluted slurry. To prevent foaming, add 1- 3 drops (per gallon) of Universal X-Defoamer.
