Description
Optical Water Soluble Wax is a high quality casting wax specifically formulated for the jewelry industry. Because of its solubility in water, Optical Water Soluble Wax has been proven ideal in many other applications where sensitivity to solvents, such as de-blocking & dissolving natural waxes, is of concern.
Application
Heat the blocking plate, or lap, & the work piece. Apply heated Optical Water Soluble Wax by wiping across the heated blocking tool. Alternatively, depending on application, melted Optical Water Soluble Wax can be poured. Allow to cool for 30 minutes – 1 hour. Optical Water Soluble Wax can be removed from the parts by submerging in warm water & using mechanical or ultrasonic agitation. For best results, please consult with UPI technical staff to recommend optimal processing conditions.
Benefits
- Soluble in water, no solvent is needed for de-blocking. Further cleaning may be required based on workpiece characteristics.
