Description
#5 Stacking Wax is used for a variety of blocking and holding applications. It is commonly used for blocking lenses or work pieces that are to be edged or profiled. Other applications include thin film blocking, Blanchard wheelwork, spot blocking, surface protection and a variety of uses where semi-hard, high tack materials are desired.
Application
Pre-heat the wax and blocking plate or lap, and work piece. Wipe #5 Stacking Wax across the heated tool or pour onto the surface.
Remove #5 Stacking Wax by submerging in water above 168°F. Clean the parts with a mild alkaline soap and warm water. Any remaining residue is best cleaned by using Uniclear followed by acetone.
