Description

#30C CRYSTAL CEMENT is a clear holding cement generally used as an optical adhesive and a blocking or holding media for a wide variety of applications including dicing, polishing, machining, core drilling, etc. Because #30C CRYSTAL CEMENT is semi-clear, it can be used for microscopic sample mounting and lens work where transparency is a factor.

Application

Depending on application, #30 CRYSTAL CEMENT can be applied in two basic methods:

1. Pre-melt #30C CRYSTAL CEMENT in a controlled heating vessel, and apply or pour molten wax to blocking plate or lap, and then mount the workpiece.
2. Pre-heat the blocking plate or lap and work piece, and wipe the wax across the heated tool and mount the workpiece.

#30C CRYSTAL CEMENT can be removed from the parts by using alcohol. For best results, please consult with UPI technical staff to recommend optimal processing conditions.
